Juneau
The ship brings you right into town, so you can at least walk in and do some shopping on your own. If your not afraid of heights take the Mt Roberts Tram up to the top and hike/walk or enjoy a lunch with a view. A hiking trail will lead you back to the bottom. This adventure is available as a guided tour.
- Not sea sick yet, well then hop aboard another boat for whale watching adventures or some serious sport or fly fishing.
- Tour an underground gold mine, visit the Alaska Brewery, attend an authentic Salmon Bake.
- View the Mendenhall Glacier by kayak, canoe, helicopter, plane, or by tour bus!
Ketchikan
The Ship will bring you right into the heart of tiny downtown Ketchikan store fronts. You can do your own walking tour of town and view the many totem poles.
- Snorkel Alaska allows you the chance to see giant starfish, crab, salmon, and other amazing creatures that live in Alaska waters. Don't fear the cold, tour provided wetsuits will keep you comfy.
- Relax and visit with a group to Totem Traditions, or the Saxman Native Village. Take in a Lumber Jack Show, or visit the Wildlife Santuary.
- Kayak, bike, zipline and canoe your way to adventure!
Sitka
- Take in some Russian history and explore this quaint town.
- Sportfishing, kayaking, bike & hike, snorkel.
Skagway
So many activities await you in this tiny town, so here are my favorites:
- Eagle Preserve Wildlife River Adventure takes you from Skagway to Haines and the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. Over 4000 Bald Eagles winter here, with 200 are resident year round. Moose, Bear, Trumpeter Swan, and Salmon can also be seen.
- WhitePass Scenic Railway (great for all ages) Horseback riding, golfing in the Yukon on a 9 hole course (bring the bug spray).
- Rock climbing and rappelling.
